Our International Service Director from 2010-2011, Netila Demneri, organized a Habitat for Humanity Build in New Orleans before the Rotaract Pre-Convention and invited Rotaractors from 7 other Rotaract Clubs in the U.S. and the U.K. to collaborate on a project that lives up to the theme: Building Communities, Bridging Continents.
Here is a video of Netila being interviewed by a reporter from Rotary International.
Before the start of the RI Convention in New Orleans, Rotaractors got together for a service project to help rebuild a home for a Hurricane Katrina survivor. Watch an interview with Netila Demneri, Rotaract Club of Toronto, Canada. Courtesy of Rotary International.
Here is another video of Rotaractors participating in the build. It was truly a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community and we hope to inspire others to become involved.
